Stop the press! Amazon buys Zappos

Amazon.com just bought Zappos.com. Two great companies with very different brands and company culture.
I guess Amazon will keep Zappos as it is, damaging the company culture of Zappos will make the company almost worthless. N.B. Amazon founded a Endless.com an e-commerce site selling shoes and accessories in 2007, will they close it or run it side by side Zappos.com?
